Florida Celtic SC Player Trains in Scotland w/ Karamoko Dembele

The partnership our club has with Celtic gives us many great things, one of them is the unheard of opportunity to practice with the Celtic Academy teams. The way to get such an opportunity is to be chosen by the Celtic coaches who come over and run the Celtic Summer Camp, and we have sent 8 players over to Scotland. This year’s camp runs July 10-14.

When our player went over this year something very special happened, the Florida Celtic player that was chosen, Micheal Gomes, was able to practice with one of the most sought out youth players in the world, Karamoko Dembele. Karamoko made world wide headlines when as a 13-year-old he was picked to play with the U20 Celtic team. He is being called a “once in a generation player”, he has the likes of Barcelona, Chelsea, and Manchester United after his services. But the fact that one of our home grown players had the chance to trade passes with such a player is mind blowing, there is not a club in Florida that could provide such an unforgettable experience, or a Partnership that gives American players these chances. So as the saying goes “you have to be in it, to win it , Summer camp is where it starts. One or two players can be chosen to receive this chance of a lifetime.

In the team picture above, in the bottom of the row in the white sleeves is Karamoko Dembele, Michael is in the bottom row on the far right. The picture was taken at the Lennoxtown Training Center that houses the Celtic professional team as well as the Academy teams. Lennoxtown was the idea of Tommy Burns, the father of our own Johnny Burns.
