Florida Celtic SC Brings Youth Soccer Platform to Palm Harbor

LARGO, FL - - Florida Celtic Soccer Club today announced it is partnering with the Palm Harbor Community Services Agency to provide recreational and competitive soccer programs to families in the community.

Starting this May, Florida Celtic SC will develop and manage programs at four sports complexes in Palm Harbor including: J. Stephen Putnam Park, Palm Field, Centre Field and the Sunderman Complex. The new relationship will expand the Florida Celtic SC network, bringing its youth soccer resources to Palm Harbor. This comes with great strategy and vision to help expand Florida Celtic SC operations from its current locations in Belleair, Largo and Seminole.

“With a heavy emphasis on establishing a robust recreational program, we look forward to a partnership that will greatly benefit the families of Palm Harbor,” said Florida Celtic SC Recreational Director and longtime Palm Harbor resident, John Orr. “This relationship gives us the ability to provide the same quality programs at Palm Harbor that have established Florida Celtic as a truly ‘player first’ community driven soccer club.”

“After careful review of Florida Celtic SC, we feel confident they are a great fit for the residents of our community,” shared Erica Lynford, Director of Palm Harbor Community Services Agency. “By providing dynamic soccer programs with an emphasis on player  development, physical training and just plain fun, we are focused on providing our families with the resources for their children to thrive.”

Florida Celtic SC, with nearly 1,500 current players, looks to advance soccer in Pinellas County to offer children ages 3-18 recreational and competitive opportunities, as well as soccer clinics, leagues and camps.

“Due to the success of our existing recreational programs, we are confident we can incorporate Palm Harbor into the Celtic family,” shared Jonathan Burns, Florida Celtic SC Director of Coaching. “We will utilize our branding, structure, programming and resources developed at our club to grow our organization and offer extraordinary new opportunities for players, teams and staff.”

The organization will offer summer camps and clinics, with recreational leagues beginning in October. Competitive soccer program tryouts for kids ages 6-18 will be held at Putnam Park the week of May 10th.
