Florida Celtic Soccer Club joins the Club Directors League (CDL)

Due to the outstanding commitment of our players, coaches, and parents during the past two seasons, Florida Celtic Soccer Club is pleased to announce that the club has been officially accepted into Club Directors League.

“This is an exciting development because inclusion in the league is reserved primarily for the most competitive and reputable clubs in central Florida. Participation in CDL gives us the best opportunity to develop our teams and players to compete at the highest levels in both state and national competitions. Since the league is operated by the Directors of Coaching from each member club, league play can be fine-tuned to promote the best possible environment for competitive player development.”   –Chris Vaughn FCSC Academy Director

“CDL offers quality competition, with an easier format for families to manage their weekends.   This will lead to enhanced unification of our club.  I would like to thank league commissioner Steve Kimbrell, other member club Directors, as well as our coaches, players, and board for all the hard work that went this accomplishment.”   –Matthew Risley FCSC D.O.C.

“Glad to welcome Florida Celtic SC as a member in CDL for next season in the Jr. Season. The Celtic Club will be a great addition to the league.”  –Steve Kimbrell, CDL Admin.

The Club Directors League is fully sanctioned and affiliated with FYSA, USYSA, and US Soccer Federation. The CDL abides by all FYSA rules and regulations including poaching rules and red card violations. All teams participating in the CDL meet qualification rules for State Cup with FYSA.

The CDL League’s Mission is to provide local league competition with the member clubs that provides an atmosphere for each club to best develop its teams and players so that each team has the best possible opportunity to compete on a premiere basis. The league is simply a scheduling body for those games.
